Ayala Uno

mark your calendars guys.... yesterday, the 15th of February the year of the Lord Two Thousand and Eight Ayala Uno happened (so expect Ayala dos, tres, kwatro...)

Ayala is the new EDSA.

Being among the humble workforce behind one of Ayala's tenants I was able to witness the gathering topview...from their highly dramatized entrance (meeting from opposite sides) to the much anticipated (ehem..) speeches....nah, i never heard it. I was just among those Usis (usisero at usisera)crowing Ayala for the heck of it.

Seeing History as it unfolds. If by monday, we have new leader or nothing much was attained through this. Come what may, it's still history. Someday, when all is gray I will be able to say that not all who went knew what they are doing in that place... of course, we always hear that as a fact...but seeing is believing.

Okay, I am also tired of our Leaders' foolishness but can someone remind who staged this rallies? aren't they among our beloved politicians who in one way or another commit the same crime that our president commited (is commiting, and will commit)? it's funny that the people behind it are the ones we toppled during the EDSA II.... same old faces....

if we want change, be it one radical change.

*****
the change that i saw in Makati are as follows:

1. Basura - tons and tons of trash crowded Ayala. It is really a sight worth seeing. We know Ayala as clean, and organized place...but lo and behold... trash is visible everywhere. I bet Binay is so itching to call his aides to clean up the mess that the rallyist made.. hahah, just a hunch that he is O.C.

2. Destroyed Landscape - I am among those who take time to admire plants and flowers in center islands, Ayala is among those who i can say spend millions just to look good.... but yesterday, what did i saw?... trampled plants.... dislocated fences....people lying down in the grass of Ayala (as if they were in Luneta)... Somewhere, i think, someone is crying over the spilled million (or can see that as an opportunity to make money?)

3. No Cars - It's Friday and Sahod... what can you expect but hellish traffic... as if by some flick of the wand.... it's a no car day! (on the part of Ayala) well, we know that somewhere just few blocks away traffic is so slow moving....but for the fun of it.... cars were replaced with people... new sight for me.

****

here's some funny stuff.. if you walked away from the rallyist...just few block away . when you entered Greenbelt...you will witness 180-degree transition... as if you are transported to a different place... people go ga-ga partying, gossiping.

Ayala wear two faces that night

****

rallyist logo: Moderate your greed, exterminate your breed

my arguement: why moderate? does that mean we tolerate greedy to some extent? what's the difference? greed is still greed. why not propose elimination of it?. do the organizers recognize that they cannot come clean? that they too are among the greedy and corrupt? how can i trust someone like that.

****

'we deserved the kind of government we have' a cliche we all knew to well.

no matter how many times we went on street to protest if we are putting the same old rotten faces to replace another rotten one. nothing can be achieved.

The power and riches that the seat of MalacaƱang offers is tempting... that anyone who will sit will be as greedy as the one he/she replaced....

We put scholars, wise men, true blue politicians and even an actor but nothing much was achieved... after sometime we wander the street... once more to throw the leader that we ourselves put

you may argue that you did not vote for him/her but remember that in our land majority is always the winner... you may not want him/her but your countrymen does

Vox populi, vox Dei?

****

just thinking that maybe, maybe we Filipinos are the problem.

we take for granted our right to vote, and we always like to express our feelings of disgust to the government that we never really believe in.... we say we abhor greed but can manage to tolerate if done in moderation.... indifferent. apathetic.

we can never expect much from ourselves if we remain like this

No Rizal, Bonifacio nor Aquino (Ninoy!) will came out of our generation if we never change

just another Ramos, Estrada and Arroyo.

the problem is embedded in our veins, as if it's in our genes.

or could it be our psyche?

Did you do anything to say that you are not apathetic, or indifferent?

The bigger problem we Filipinos have is that sometimes were all talk. We have good ideas but we don't do anything about it. We want change but were too lazy to do it. I agree that change may never happen now but maybe in the future it will the teach future leaders of the government no to f*ck with us.

The Filipino masses are the true masters of the government, they should fear our words, be scared of our actions.

In the end we should act like an angry mob boss trying to teach his stupid henchmen a lesson.
