Guilty Pleasures 101 (as of January 2008)
1. Boybands! - so 90's, well being a teen during the 90's I can't help being one of those gazillion boyband admirers. Their hits became my national anthem. Up until now, those lyrics are still in my head. I sing along everytime i hear their song. From Boyzone,Backstreet Boys, Westlife, N*SYNC, A1 even o-town. i don't keep their records but i just listen to their songs and eventually memorize them. Reason? hottie members, catchy songs (beats)....what more can i ask for?
2. Romantic Movies - Who can't resist those lines? sweet lines.... how about the actors and actresses?... even if the plots were predictable. Indeed, i am a hopeless romantic... swept away with lines...though some were classic. i don't mind. it's just so good.
3. Anime' - Samurai X! my all time favorite! there's just something unexplainably charming about japanese animations... good story lines, kawaii characters... and mostly because jap animations crosses boundaries...
4. Fairy Tales - i am guilty of the 'happily ever after' drama...this is the reason why i am hopeless romantic. i was raised with fairy tale books... i memorized each and every character. Disney even ignited that with all the movie adaptation that they staged.
5. Telenovelas and Koreanovelas - Marimar started this phenomenon (Telenovela). who can't resist those latinos? For Koreanovela it's Lovers in Paris! well, i don't watch all telenovelas and koreanovelas... i just watch kapamilya telenovelas/koreanovelas. mainly because of their excellent dubbing.
6. Bantam Classics Book - a little O.C. inside of me liked all my books to have the same height... those sameness got me.. all classic books should be striclty from bantam... i want to (one day) look at them and just see absolutely flawlessly sameness...they're irresistable.
7. Coca-cola - i am a Soda kid! i can literally live with Coca-cola! (their company should actually pay me for this!) if i am at the lowest point of my live, i just drink coke.. this is my opium. with some chocolate on the side.
8. Jollibee Spaghetti - i need not to explain further, Pinoy style spag says it all.... (pay me?)
9. Flowers - emporiums, roses, TULIPS? (nah!)..their beauty entices the eye. good to look at... but i prefer flowers in pots than in bouquets... they are so good to look at
everyone! these are some tips for the gifts that i want to have....if you want to give me some for my upcoming birthday (that would be a couple of months from now?)...... hope this helps (wink, wink!)
